Boeing Aerostructures Australia is Australia’s leading designer and manufacturer of composite flight control Components for commercial aircraft. We are renowned for our collaborative and supportive working environment and for the incredibly high calibre of our people.
We are currently looking for experienced trade qualified assembly operators to join our team on a two year Fixed Term Contract. Working under general supervision, within a cellular work team you will be involved in the pre and post production processes of components, exercising high precision trade skills using various material and/or specialist manufacturing techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to:
The use of work order specifications
Understand and apply Company quality assurance standards
Maintain housekeeping
Participate in Lean programs by supporting innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the business
Assist BAA to meet duty of care obligations for occupational health and safety and environmental protection by participating in EHS related activity
Attending OH&S / EP training and take reasonable care for the health and safety
Key Accountabilities:
Applicants from within the specified cell need to be able to demonstrate the following:
Flexibilty to work afternoon and night shift
Extensive precision assembly experience
Composite Assembly experience
Knowledge of and ability to interpret Engineering drawings & Company
Capable of working well with others and encouraging team building
Effective communicator / listener
General knowledge of OHS procedures and exposure to quality systems
Proven capability to work to agreed deadlines
Classification Level:
This is an award position within the trade group stream. The classification level is Base Tradesperson (100%) as per the Boeing Aerostructures Australia Pty Ltd (Port Melbourne) Workplace agreement 2010.
